1993-03-20 Warrington, UK / In your Head / In deinem Kopf / Na sua Cabeça / En tu Cabeza

Three-year-old Johnathan Ball died at the scene. He had been in town with his babysitter, shopping for a Mother’s Day card.

Twelve-year-old Tim Parry, was gravely wounded and died on 25 March 1993 when his life support machine was switched off, after tests had found only minimal brain activity.

Zombie is a protest song by Irish rock band The Cranberries, written about the 1993 IRA bombing in Warrington, and in memory of the two young victims.

Another head hangs lowly
Child is slowly taken
And the violence caused such silence
Who are we mistaken

But you see it’s not me
It’s not my family
In your head, in your
Head they are fighting
With their tanks and their bombs
And their bombs and their guns
In your head,
In your head they are cryin’

In your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie
What’s in your head, in your head
Zombie, Zombie, Zombie

Another mother’s breakin’
Heart is taking over
When the violence causes silence
We must be mistaken

It’s the same old theme since nineteen-sixteen
In your head,
In your head they’re still fightin’
With their tanks and their bombs
And their bombs and their guns
In your head, in your head they are dyin’

In your head, in your head
Zombie, zombie, zombie
What’s in your head, in your head
Zombie, Zombie, Zombie
