Léon: ‘The Professional’ is a 1994 English-language French thriller film written and directed by Luc Besson, starring Jean Reno (Léon) and featuring the motion picture debut of Natalie Portman (Matilda).
Matilda, a 12-year-old girl, is reluctantly taken in by Léon, a professional assassin, after her family is murdered.
Léon and Matilda form an unusual relationship, as she becomes his protégée and learns the assassin’s trade.
Separation occurs when partners stop living together. The three main reasons why couples separate are (1) as a step in the divorce process, (2) to gain perspective on the partnership, and (3) to enhance the partnership.
Some experts regard a six-month separation as good amount of time for a temporary separation, since it is long enough to set up a second household and gain perspective, but not long enough to seem permanent.
What do you think, Matilda?
