No flight yesterday night at the airport and no light yesterday night at the warehouse; I had some sleep. I actually love warehouse living, I love the open space, I love the high ceiling and if I have the chance and the desire to build a home one day in my life, my choice would definitely be a warehouse. It was still very early and I walked the few meters to the empty terminal and recharged the battery for the camera and connected the computer to work on the pictures from yesterday. About 1 hour later the first airport staff arrived and another 5 minutes later the first mobile snack stand. I had breakfast, Colombian potato and a cold Avena juice.

Time passed and the first flight with LAN had left Leticia airport and the terminal was now getting busy with the passengers for the flight with Avianca; this was my flight, my flight to Bogota with connection to Cartagena de Indias. A nerdy group of 2 Colombian couples entered the terminal and went straight to the Avianca counter, trying to be smart and be first in line, ignoring the passengers that had been waiting already for some time. I knew already then that this was going to be small trouble. When the time was right, when the staff would open the counter and start the procedure I would be speaking out loud for the passengers of the queue and put the correct order back in place and educate the nerds and that’s what happened.

The queue was back in the correct order, the procedure started; check-in, then stamp from immigration for your passport and another stamp for your luggage. I had my stamp in my passport already; another stamp for my luggage on the flight ticket? Ok. I went to immigration, showed my flight ticket and got the stamp. What was that for? The luggage was gone; the luggage had already been checked in. Ok, then 1 hour of waiting and time to watch the news, then all passengers through the security and into the waiting hall, then 10 minutes of waiting and all passengers through the glass door onto the airfield, towards the plane, up the staircase and into the brand new Avianca Airbus 320. Ok.

Flight is flight, nothing really exciting except the fact that the Avianca Airbus 320 was brand new, the television plus remote of the latest airplane technology, the seats out of leather and with slightly more space for your legs, cabin light in blue and green.
Avianca Airbus 320 arrived in Bogota; shuttle bus from terminal 1 to terminal 2; nothing really exciting except the fact that the new airport of Bogota was extremely well in all aspects. I felt a little bit ashamed about the ridiculous situation of the new airport in Berlin. Suddenly another thought was in my head; I was worried about the monthly payments for January. I had not considered that the office that was looking after my accounts may be on holidays and would do the monthly payments only in a week. I plugged in the computer at one of the docking stations from Tigo left a message with the office manager hoping to get a reply by the time I arrive in Cartagena de Indias.

1 hour flight and I was at my final destination, Cartagena de Indias; almost 21:00 hours and I wanted to stay at the airport for the night. The airport was still very busy, typical for an airport of a major city and a major tourist destination. Cartagena de Indias was on the list of the Unesco world heritage sites because of the historical center and at the same time Cartagena de Indias was a beach holiday destination because of the tropical climate and the beaches of the Caribbean. The airport had only a handful of plugs to connect or recharge and only a handful of corners to sleep. I had to wait a bit for the airport to calm down. Finally after midnight one of the plugs was mine for an hour and one of the corners was mine for the night.
