I changed one blue bench with another early this morning when the first passengers arrived at the terminal and it was getting busy and noisy. I recharged the battery and rested for another 2 hours. The service of the security and his concern for me was excellent, exactly when the battery was 100% charged he asked me about my next destination.

My next destination was the center of the city, the battery for my camera was full and I am going to the center of the city for some sightseeing. The security had no further questions. I took some pictures of the terminal but now another security wanted to educate me about the regulations of the terminal to not take pictures. I interrupted him, the battery for my camera was full and I am going to the center of the city for some sightseeing, thank you for your attention, thank you for your patience and your time, good bye and maybe see you tonight again.

I got off the bus at the church and the main square Simon Bolivar. I was third in line for some Sunday morning breakfast at the only snack stand around, Colombian potato, orange juice, Colombian potato, orange juice. The Sunday morning ceremony had not started yet and the main square was pretty quiet, so were the main streets and the main attraction of the city, the Rio del Sinú Park at the riverbanks.

The Park had a lane for pedestrians and a lane for bicycles, had various integrated snack areas, a playground for children, a chess area, museum, a library and a newly paved area with a group of sculptures of musicians of a typical music of the area.

I wanted to look for a cyber and walked to the main commercial street, all the shops were closed and only the market stands were open on this Sunday. Instead of a cyber I found a haircutter and decided to have my beard shaved. I was not sure if my success at hitchhiking was suffering due to my appearance and in particular due to my beard which had reached a good length after 2 month and gave me a little bit of a homeless look. I was homeless, I felt homeless, I travelled and lived like a homeless. Did I really have to live like this? I think yes, I deserved to live like this and I wanted to live like this, I wanted this experience with all its consequences. I could give up this lifestyle whenever I wanted; Did I really? Could I really?

The haircutter pointed me to the only cyber in the area and it was really open, had a plug for electricity plus a cable for internet access. I worked for 2 hours and had to leave because closing time on a Sunday was at 14:00 hours. I walked back to the Park, this time to the other end and had lunch at the only snack stand.

The Park could have easily been a Botanical Garden, a Tropical Garden; the Park offered everywhere shade and a fresh and cool wind from the river. I was tired and picked one of the numerous benches and rested for 2 hours. I had to recharge the battery if I wanted to take some more pictures of the activities in the Park and started searching for a plug. At one of the closed snack stands I spotted a plug and plugged in the charger, walked around the corner and had a juice.

The Park was getting busy again and the main attraction, the monkeys were coming down from the trees to pick their dinner out of the hands of the children, bananas, chips and other sweets. I took the last 2 pictures of the day before the camera went off again and took the bus back to the terminal.

I thought the bus would use the last roundabout to turn around and stop right at the entrance of the terminal. I was mistaken and drove for 10 kilometers into the night and away from the city. It had been the bus driver’s final tour and he could have easily asked me out of the bus but luckily the terminal was on his way home and he gave me a free lift.
