After days of wiping and brushing, washing and grooming my small beach house was clean and ready to receive visitors, so I drove quickly to Natal to pick up my baby Matilda from school. At first, she did not like my small beach house, I did not have a refrigerator and no oven, I did not have a television and no tablet and I did not have neighbors with children and no playground close by. I needed the help of some stray hungry horses that had invaded the beach to find some food. I grabbed the leftover bread and we walked to the beach to feed mother and son. That completely changed the picture and suddenly my baby Matilda liked my small beach house, now that she had met the stray horses, had met the stray dogs and had met the stray cats.

My baby Matilda even went further down to the beach, even further and closer to the water, then to the small stream that entered the ocean and offered a secure area to sit down. Now my baby Matilda liked the beach, now that she could play in the warm water, build a sand castle, bake a sand cake and cook sand food. The playing, the baking and the cooking had made her tired and we went back to my small beach house and had a rest in the hammock.

An hour later and almost at sunset my baby Matilda woke up and wanted to go back to the beach. I did not have a kitchen for her to practice her cooking skills; her imagination allowed her to create her own fully equipped kitchen at the beach where the small stream enters the ocean and within 5 minutes, dinner was ready. Her imagination had created the best pizza I had in my life and if you ever come to Caraubas, please go down to the beach where the small stream enters the ocean and taste one sand pizza yourself.
