Maybe I had been dreaming a bit too much yesterday at the Iate Clube or maybe a catamaran in one of the French overseas departments had been really the first thought of my next project. What had happened to actual my project Rio 2016? I was in the process of renewing all my identification documents and I realized that the Brazilian and the German bureaucracy was taking valuable time off my project Rio 2016 and a continuation was more doubtful than ever. I would never catch up again with the original plan, the original route.

The situation in Brazil was difficult, economically and politically, my situation in Brazil was difficult, economically and personally. The situation was tense, payments were not coming in, promises not kept, people were closed and the shopping centers was half-empty, my bank account empty. I had to enforce the sale of my sailing boat, I had listed the sale with all internet portals and the initial feedback was positive, I had some potential clients but realized already now that I would have to reduce the price significantly if I wanted to have a quick sale.

My baby Matilda was not difficult at all, not economically, not personally and definitely not politically. She was enjoying her time with her new friend Sophia and both were enjoying their time in the ‘Parque das Dunas’. The park offered shade, nature, dunes, animals, food, playground and live music. I had a conversation with Sophia’s father, Javier whom I had met at the opening of the new development of ‘Bosque do Coqueiral’ in Pium. He was an architect and his situation was difficult, economically and personally. At least the girls were having a good time, physically and emotionally.
