The park ‘Cidade das Crianças’ had convinced me yesterday and even more my baby Matilda and so we decided to go again, only today, the house with all the toys was closed and we decided to pick up the rests from yesterday’s birthday party. We had arrived at lunchtime; we were the only visitors and had the first choice to pick up the balloons. They were perfect for my German lessons and I had my baby Matilda repeat the colors over and over again, gelb, blau, orange and grün – amarelo, azul, laranja and verde.

I had a more and more time now for my baby Matilda and less and less time for my project Rio 2016. I had seen the Olympic torch yesterday and this had brought my mind back to my project Rio 2016. I was exactly 2 month away from the opening ceremony and it had become very, very clear by now that I would not return to my route and continue travelling. I still had the hope and believed in the slight chance that I might make it to Rio de Janeiro. What had been the goal of my project Rio 2016, the one year travel through South America or the Olympic Games or both?
