This September 2018 full moon is glowing in the night sky on Monday, September 24th.

It is not one of this year’s supermoons, nor is it a blue moon or a lunar eclipse blood moon. It is simply an ordinary full moon.

Only this year and only tonight it is our full moon, my baby Matilda‘s and mine.

And only this year and only tonight it was rising for us right above the ocean and the sand dunes of Ponta Negra.

This year’s autumn/spring full moons have special characteristics related to the time of the moonrise.

Nature is particularly cooperative in giving us full-looking moons near the horizon after sunset.

Skies are clear, the moon looks big and bright as it moves across the sky.

No matter where you live worldwide, the moon will appear plenty full to you.
