The psychedelic experience is as central to understanding your humaness as having sex, or having a child, or having responsibilities, or having hopes and dreams, and yet it is illegal.
We are somehow told, we are infantilized. We are told you know you can wander around with in the sanctioned playpen of ordinary Consciousness.
And we have some intoxicants over here if you wanna mess your self up, we’ve got some scotch here and some tobacco and red meat and some sugar and a little T.V. and so forth and so on.
But, these boundary dissolving hallucinogens that give you a sense of unity with your fellow man and nature are somehow forbidden. This is an outrage!
It is a sign of cultural immaturity and the fact that we tolerate it is a sign that we are living in a Society as oppressed as any Society in the past.
Psychedelics are not illegal because they are dangerous or bad for your health. Psychedelics are illegal because they reveal truth, and often that truth is inconvenient.
Psychedelics show you your true identity, which is Awareness free of Ego games and self-identity, free of desire and free of wants and needs, which means no more materialism and consumerism.
No more money wheel going round and round for the corporate World.
Psychedelics are actually highly effective medicines that can treat most mental illnesses without needing repeated or constant use. Big Pharma doesn’t want that of course.
Big Pharma wants you to need drugs, they need you dependent on them so they can make more and more money off your illness. The medical industry makes money from you being ill.
Psychedelics will lead one to question the norm and break out of their behavioural conditioning and culturally imposed self-image. Psychedelic experience may lead you to break out of conditioning by generations of conformity and social expectations.
In the 60’s and 70’s the US government wanted war in Vietnam. Young people were using psychedelic drugs, realized We are One, verbalized it and protested against the war.
So politicians declared the war on drugs. Which was also a result of racism and bigotry against black people and mexicans who were using cannabis and heroin.
Psychedelics are tools for anaylising the depths of the human mind. They should be used in psychotherapy and personal development. The illegality of psychedelics is an impedement to the progress and full health of humanity.
