Nature is essential for our well-being, as it provides food, clean air, and clean water. We talk about sustainability, national issues and so on, but the fact of the matter is that Humans are the biggest factor and danger for animals.

In the past 50 years, population has gone from 3.3 billion, to 7.4 billion. In the same time, animal population has gone down, with some species going extinct, while others have gone from common, to critically endangered.

If we continue the way we are … the sixth mass extinction, the first one ever caused by Humans, will continue.

Some factors that contribute to decline of animal species include trophy hunting, deforestation, habitat destruction, environmental pollution and climate change.

The fact is that as Human population expands, other species are destroyed.

The family of big cats is one of the most vulnerable for extinction. Lions, leopards, and tigers are among the most popular for trophy hunters.

Aside from big cats, primates are the animals most prone to human factors. Hunting and Science.

We have had a greater impact on the Earth than any other species.

All over the World, we are cutting down forests, using too much water from rivers, choking our oceans with plastic and pushing many animals to extinction.

The challenge we face is to find ways of meeting the needs of our growing population while protecting nature and preventing climate change.

Everyone – governments, businesses, communities and individuals – has a part to play in coming up with this new plan – a global deal for nature.
