Life is tragic. You are tiny and ignorant and weak and everything else is huge, complex and overwhelming.

The pursuit of happiness is pointless. Happiness is a pointless goal. It is not something to aim at – because it is not an aim.

There are many circumstances in life where happiness is not only the wrong response but also where the expectation of happiness as a response will put you, the person attempting to be happy, in absolutely the wrong psychological state.

Search for meaning, not for its own sake, but as a defense against the suffering that is intrinsic to your existence. It is a moral obligation to pursue what you find meaningful.

It is a luxury to pursue what makes you happy. Happiness is a great side effect. When it comes, accept it gratefully. 

Do not compare yourself with other people, compare yourself with who you were yesterday. No one gets away with anything, ever, so take responsibility for your own life.

Order is masculine and chaos is feminine. Therefore to move towards order, man up. We are all on this Earth to suffer. So learn to suffer like a man.
