Is everything in life worth Sharing / Ist alles im Leben wert geteilt zu Werden / Vale a pena compartilhar tudo na Vida / Vale la pena compartir todo en la Vida

You have not been on holiday if you did not post a picture every 30 seconds online.

You have not been to a concert if you do not start a Facebook live event. You have not been to a restaurant if you have not checked into it.

Peace. Peace is beautiful. Chilling under the sun in Ibiza. A book in your hand. The distant noise of kids playing.

The indistinct noise of two beautiful girls chatting. The waves on the shore. Peace. It does not take a lot to adapt to this lifestyle, a good 5 minutes.

You have not felt so relaxed and at peace with yourself in years. Here you are. Laying down at the beach, looking at the sea, pondering about how life is so perfect in this moment.

The location is great. The company is good. But there is a specific thing that makes the day great. No internet connection.

Your smartphone has been laying in your bag for days now. Silent. No sign of life. It still works, obviously. But it is 2019.

A smartphone without a data plan is as useful as a broken phone. A smartphone without a data plan is a harmless creature. It is just plastic and glass. A screen without life.

It is not too bad, though. You have an abroad data bundle you are not using. You are using your smartphone only as a very overpriced camera.

Trying to catch a glimpse of the beauty of this place. It feels good. It took a while but it feels good.

It feels like you have managed to break the chains that enslaved you to that gadget. Useful, fun, vital during the rest of the year. It could have been one of your worse nightmares on your holiday.

No emails. No messages. No notifications. Nothing.

Just you staring at the ‘Beach’. Just you walking down a ‘Calle’. Just you stuffing your face with ‘Tapas’. For two days life seems normal again.

Life is again made to be lived and not to be shared on social media. You are forced to feel good. And it feels awesome.

You are so used at being connected every second of the day. You struggle to find a moment for yourself. You struggle to find the space that is not a social media page for a memory. You live online.

Your body is offline, but sometimes he feels just like a shell walking around. Looking for something to post online.

Something to capture. Something to share. It feels like you have not lived something if you have not shared it with everybody else.

Are things going in a better or worse direction. Are the innovations and the changes in Society really for good. The direction of your life has to be controlled by yourself. Not by technology.

If you are enslaved to that lifestyle break your chains. Start living. Start experiencing things on your skin. On your soul.

Start taking the distances from your online Ego. Start having a private side. Start cherishing those private moments. Do not wash them out posting them for everybody to see.

Your life is with the people around you. With your family. With your friends.

Try to live a life they can be proud of. Try to live a life you can be proud of yourself.

Do not live a life just to impress your followers.
