If you want to witness a sense of wonder, just observe a child. A child’s whole World is viewed through the eyes of wonder and excitement.
A child has no judgements of why things are the way they are and views life through innocence, purity and curiosity. We lose our sense of wonder as we become adults.
We want to know what will happen, how it will happen and when it will happen, as if this will give us a sense of control over our lives.
We want certainty of how things will work out with our relationships, with our professions, with our finances and with life in general.
Our need to know has taken precedent in our lives so that we are missing the magic of life.
We are not comfortable with surprises and things that happen that we do not understand. We do not allow the magic of life to unfold.
Children understand the magic of life; they see and feel it everywhere. Their sense of wonder is an innate quality they are born with and navigate through their young life seeing the World with much amazement.
Life is happening for you, not to you. What this means is that everything that has happened in your life and is happening to you right now, is serving you to delve deeper into your self.
Life is asking you to approach what is happening to you with a curiosity and a sense of wonder. The story does not matter – only what insights and learnings you have gained about yourself and life.
We hear of tragedy every day from around the World and we are impacted by the pain, the suffering and the sadness other people are experiencing.
Amongst all the tragic stories there are tales that are emerging of great generosity of spirit, forgiveness and the coming together in Love and healing.
This would only happen when a few have an Awareness to see beyond the circumstances, and with curiosity and a sense of wonder.
Socrates said, ‘Wonder is the beginning of wisdom.’ To walk through life with a sense of wonder means you open up to a higher knowledge that is beyond the physical mind.
Your tool into this wisdom is your imagination. Your imagination is the conduit to your higher self, which is your true self, the one that knows the truth of who you are.
When you start to see the wonder of each moment, by being in the moment and appreciating life and feeling good, you start to align your vibration with all the things that are similar in nature.
In that moment you have opened up a portal of goodness for things to come your way.
When you stand in gratitude and appreciation for the moment you align yourself with all that is pure, loving and wonderful in the World.
Life is asking of you to acknowledge the wonder that is you, to have a sense of wonder about life.
To stop and appreciate the present moment, to offer a smile, a kind word or deed to your fellow man – not to gain anything, but rather just to give of your wondrous self.
