If most people think we do not have hope, it is likely to become a self-fulfilling prophecy. In order to stop a climate catastrophe we must first believe we can make a difference.

Great things can only be achieved by everyone believing it can be done.

Stop making excuses. Do not expect the rest of the World to make good choices to make up for yours. You matter.

What you buy and consume matters, and it directly affects the rest of the World. Do not expect all the ‘hippies’ to eat organic and locally, do not just decide it is not worth trying. It is.

Teach young people the importance of treating our environment with care and that we can make a difference.

Our environment is constantly changing and we should be more aware of the problems that surround it. But just being aware of the problems is not enough, we should come up with ways to solve them.

When we talk about the environmental problems that we face, we refer to pollution, natural disasters, global warming, population, the depletion of natural resources, climate change, deforestation among others.

We tend to overlook all the small problems that we create with our daily habits without even realizing.

The way we live our life and do things can also affect the environment.

But there is a simple way of avoiding these problems by doing small things and adapting some eco-friendly habits in our day to day life.

Pay attention to what you are buying. Make an effort to purchase goods and clothing that are made in sustainable ways, from companies who are mindful of what they produce and how. It does matter.

Your choices matter and directly impact the market for these goods. There are environmentally friendly companies. Keep these companies alive and become a mindful consumer.

Recycle everything that you possibly can. There is no excuse not to. So much of what we use can be reused, and not just thrown away.

Find out what you can do with all the things you usually throw away, to ensure that you are not wasting things that can be saved. Waste does not magically disappear when you throw it away.

Become a vegetarian. Even eating less meat will help reduce demand. Many people can not or will not become vegetarians, but it is worth considering.

A vegetarian diet is healthier for you, the planet, and kinder to animals. This seems extreme, but it is not as hard as you might think.

Give your time, or at least some of your cash to worthy causes. There are people out there fighting for the planet and its animals. Help them out.

Think of all the dumb stuff you spend money on and realize that $15 will really help someone else.

People around you, people you work with, and your friends will see you changing aspects of your lifestyle to be more mindful of what we are doing to the planet.
